Krystyna Piotrowska is a recognized visual artist. The exhibition will present a wide spectrum of her artistic activities: from works from the 1980s to most recent ones.
She creates works that combine photography, graphic techniques and painting, is the author of installations and videos. She is well known for her works created with the use of human hair. Her work deals mainly with the subject of identification, memory, passing, history and Jewish identity. In the years 2006-2012 she was the author and curator of the exhibition “Próżna Project”. This exhibition was held annually in dilapidated houses on Próżna Street and concerned the memory and Polish-Jewish relations.
