A piece of suspenseful noir cinema set in Czechoslovakia at the end of communist times.
The action of the black and white (sensational, breathtaking pictures by Yuri Chlpik) of the film takes place in a monastery where two young seminarians arrive. Their innocence and idealism will be put to an unexpected test as they find themselves in the middle of a power game between state and church. Servants are a grand treaty about institutions that, no matter whom they serve, are always ready to lay an individual on the altar of their long duration.
