Spotlight: Nick Cave
Probably most of us associate Nick Cave mainly with music – no wonder, his achievements in this field are really substantial, and his compositions have been moving the hearts of millions of fans around the world for decades. One needs to delve a little deeper to discover that Nick Cave has a strong connection to the world of film – his music is often used in film soundtracks, and he is also active as a screenwriter and actor. One cannot fail to mention a number of documentaries depicting his work, and revealing a glimpse of the usually enigmatic artist’s private life. In February, we want to introduce the audiences to Cave and his achievements in the field of film. The cycle will open with the documentary “20,000 days on Earth”, in which the artist talks about his life and work. This will be followed by “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”, for which Cave and Warren Ellis created a truly magical soundtrack. The next film will be “Hell or High Water”, where Cave was also responsible for the music, and at the end we will check how he coped as a screenwriter in the film “Lawless”. We hope that this journey, which we will take together with Nick Cave, will be a space for interesting experiences and long discussions for all of us!
