Opening of the Central Playground

There is no better alternative to spend your holidays in the city than the Central Playground! This year we will be with you from July 1 to August 27. The motto of this year's edition is "Youth", because the Central Playground is YOUth!

The holiday atmosphere and a large amount of good music by exceptional artists who will perform in the Inner Courtyard as part of the Playground.

Our opening event on July 1st is the first concert in Poland by the master of tropical electronics – El Búho! The artist combines the influences of house music, dub and broadly understood electronics with the rhythms, traditions and melodies of the peoples of South America and the organic sounds of nature. Laboratorio Tropical Crew will also perform on the Inner courtyard stage – a Warsaw-based project that is increasingly turning up the temperature in the world of dance music. Hot, South American rhythms will be presented by the cumbia band – Choque Sonidero, while Artificialice will serve electronics broken with acoustic drums, double bass and saxophone. Walso performing is the band Klawo, which draws inspiration from funk, psychedelia, hip hop, jazz and afrobeat.

Two months of fun and learning. This year’s programme includes a number of unusual workshops for people of all ages, e.g. new circus and illusionist, origami, theater improvisation, writing literary texts and songs, and media. Moreover, an educational and inspiring series of classes with the Carousel of Art awaits the participants. As always, there will be family performances as well as integration games and plays, such as stalking, large jenga or board games.

In addition to the spaces of the Centre for Culture in Lublin, we will also meet in the housing estates of Czuby and Węglin. All this thanks to the cooperation with DDK “Czuby Południowe” and DDK “Węglin”.
