28. Theater Confrontations

This year’s edition of the festival will take place on October 9-30 under the slogan “Inside of a Story”.

The motto is a reference to the space of literature – the Organizers wish to show strong connections with this field of art every year. We want to rethink the role of storytelling in the face of a changing world. The selected performances focus primarily on private stories. At a time of global tension, when the history of humanity is just filling one of its black pages with images beyond the possibility of artistic description, we decided that it would be appropriate to look at an individual man and his personal experiences. And in this private space, inside an individual entity, Polish theatre feels at ease. Majority of the productions presented focus around one character. Despite the intimate nature of these performances, many great names will appear at the festival, among which a special place is occupied by actors with the difficult art of one-man stage performances.
