Centre for Culture is a beneficiary of the Universal Design of Culture project

Centre for Culture is participating in the “Universal Design of Culture” project, which supports accessibility in cultural institutions. Within this project, the institution develops activities that prepare people with disabilities for collaboration, internships, and employment.

We are pleased to announce that the Centre for Culture has been selected as a beneficiary of Task 2 of the “Universal Design of Culture – Accessibility in Cultural Institutions” project. The project is financed by the European Union under Measure 3.3 “Systemic Improvement of Accessibility,” Priority III “Accessibility and Services for People with Disabilities” of the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 program. As part of Task 2, cultural institutions are preparing to accept interns, trainees, volunteers, and employees with disabilities. The program supports the development of institutional competencies so that they can include people with disabilities in their activities – both as employees, collaborators, and volunteers – through appropriate procedures, organizational solutions, and communication methods.

The project is being implemented by the National Centre for Culture in cooperation with the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON). More information about the project can be found here.

The total budget of the project implemented by the National Centre for Culture is PLN 29,694,500, of which:
• PLN 24,503,901.40 (82.52%) is from European funds,
• PLN 5,190,598.60 comes from the state budget.

The project will be implemented from October 1, 2023, to March 31, 2027.
