A visually captivating film showcasing the beauty of the Himalayan peaks. This time, we see it from a rare perspective – that of the Sherpas, without whom no expedition would be possible.
Chomolungma means “Goddess Mother Earth” in Nepali. Tourists line up to “conquer” the world’s highest mountain, but not everyone succeeds, and that’s why Mount Everest has become a graveyard full of frozen bodies.
The renowned mountaineer Mingma Tsiri Sherpa, a Buddhist, breaks his promise to his family not to climb again. He embarks on one last expedition to Mount Everest to clear the sacred mountain of the dead bodies of climbers that have been abandoned there. He undertakes this difficult and dangerous mission to appease the mountain gods, who demand respect for nature. The film details the entire route to this unique peak.
