In the spring of 2024, Ukrainian double bassist Mark Tokar, Lithuanian multi-instrumentalist Liudas Mockūnas and drummer and pianist Arnas Mikalkėnas held a series of concerts in Ukraine. The artists, representing the forefront of the contemporary jazz and improvised scene of Central and Eastern Europe, presented the audience with their original compositions and bold interpretations in the spirit of free improvisation. Their joint performances were both a celebration of international artistic collaboration and an expression of support for the Ukrainian community in difficult times. The tour was highly acclaimed by audiences, who appreciated both the musicians’ virtuosity and the emotional depth of their message.
