Ninja Episkopat
The illegitimate child of the pandemic, social media, and overwhelming boredom. Some call it the “Slipknot of Polish Jazz.” The project’s sound is based on the intersection of improvised music, popular music, and electronica. The band members have a wealth of experience behind them, which has resulted in the crystallization of a unique style in which subtlety and primitiveness coexist. They see this apparent contradiction as a reflection of the original values ​​of jazz music, upon which the genre was founded.

Ninja Episkopat debuted in 2022 with the EP “God Save The Queer.” A year later, Audio Cave released their full-length album “All Thoughts Are Bad Thoughts.” This material appeared at the trio’s concerts both in Poland and abroad, including in the Czech Republic and Germany.

The band was creates as a result of the meeting of three strong musical personalities who, through collective exploration, strive to find the sources of expression in the depths of long and intense improvisations, interwoven with more compact forms.

The group represents a musical style that, for lack of a better term, could be called “jazz-core.” Like glass formed in extreme temperatures, the trio, immersing themselves and their listeners in high-intensity sonic waves, tempers their ideas, transcending the familiar and familiar. Will this resonance shatter the greyness of everyday life, or merely shake the surface of sensitivity? The answer to this question can only be found by experiencing their live performance.
