The band combines diverse musical styles to create a unique sound that reflects their artistic inspirations. Free jazz introduces elements of spontaneous improvisation, allowing the musicians to explore sounds and emotions in real time. Punk adds energy and rebellion, creating a dynamic atmosphere, while surf introduces lightness and nostalgic waves. Lofoten, with their raw, natural beauty, inspire visually, and traditional Finnish karjalanpiirakat brings a cultural element to the music, emphasizing the multi-layered nature of their compositions. This combination creates music that is both expressive and reflective, full of contrasts and surprises.

Piotrek Dankiewicz – bass guitar

Czarnoziem (PL)
A group formed by Dawid Dąbrowski (modular synthesizer) and Michał Giżycki (bass clarinet, saxophones). The duo boldly creates their own independent language, uses a wide spectrum of genres – from experimental electronics, improvised music to echoes of free jazz, and contemporary electroacoustic music. The sound of Czarnoziem was clarified in an intensive process of rehearsals, sessions, concerts. It became expressive and transparent in terms of texture: from stillness, sonoristic minimalism, through dense magma drones, enigmatic melodic lines to wild noise, and ecstatic free. The musicians have developed a dimension of improvisation in which they create coherent structures and dynamics, without renouncing their differences and inspiring each other in the creation of sound, narrative and expression. On March 22nd of this year, their debut album, SOCHA, was released by Gusstaff Records / Don’t Sit On My Vinyl.
