Tablaos began to appear in the 1960s, replacing cafes cafe cantantes, or night bars with flamenco entertainment, where in addition to serving drinks, there were performances of singing, playing and dancing. It is thanks to cafe cantantes that the popularity of flamenco has increased, and over time it has taken a professional form. Tablaos flamencos are usually small places, closed rooms or patios surrounded on all sides, which allows to focus and create a magical atmosphere. These are the places full of art of flamenco and its spirit of “duende”, rooted in the history of the difficult fate of the population living in the dry, hot and poor regions of southern Spain. During “Tablao flamenco” at the Inner Courtyard in Lublin, an ideal place to recreate the mood of the Spanish tablaos, you will be able to feel the taste of this story, in which contrary emotions were entwined: joy with suffering, freedom with slavery, love with hatred.
