Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.

Polish dystopian scifi about the few thousand survivors left after the nuclear holocaust that live in squalor in an underground bunker, waiting for an ark that will come some day and rescue them. Not as bleak as I wanted it to be but still a worthwhile entry in the series of movies that came out in the eighties all dealing with the inevitability of what might happen if someone pushes the button. This is more focused on the political end of the “we all will die” business and as a black comedy it works well. I would still rather recommend Dead mans letters, a superior Russian movie with a similar them though far more drenched in doom.
