Evening with Kielce Dance Theatre

19:00 - 02.02.2019 - more

The evening with performances of the Kielce Dance Theater is a unique opportunity to see the latest performance “The Miraculous Mandarin” in combination with one of the band’s oldest performances – “Table without happiness”, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the premiere.

The Miraculous Mandarin

This version of “The Miraculous Mandarin” made for the Kielce Dance Theater by Grzegorz Pańtak contains the assumptions of the original libretto. The movement form of the choreographic composition results from the way the choreographer perceives the individual figures of the ballet and the desire to maintain the emotional tension of this dramatic ballet. Contemporary dance language gives an opportunity to compile different dance styles, thanks to which both the choreographer and performing dance artists can give an individual look to the characters created.

Choreography, costumes: Grzegorz Pańtak; libretto: Menyhért Lengyel; music: Béla Bartók; set design: Luigi Scoglio; lights / video: Bogumił Palewicz; film: Maria Łozińska; cast: Małgorzata Kowalska; Mandaryn: Mateusz Wróblewski; Daniel Pustelnik, Kacper Czyż, Aleksander Staniszewski; Tomasz Słomka; Dawid Pieróg; Alicja Horwath-Maksymow, Izabela Zawadzka, Małgorzata Ziółkowska; Anna Jamioł, Pamela Paprota, Anna Piotrowska, Anna Szczotka, Marta Starostecka, Marta Rolska

Table without happiness

A beautiful, moving story about loneliness and fighting for the attention of another human being. It shows the child’s experiences, which is a watchful observer and a witness of relationships existing between parents. The performance shows in a very emotional way the joy of a girl lived while parents show their attention and feelings of sadness and the fear of a child seeing disagreement between loved ones. The performance has a clearly outlined dramatic line.

Choreography, costumes: Elżbieta Pańtak; music: Abel Korzeniowski; lights Grzegorz Pańtak; cast: Dziecko: Arkadia Ślósarska; Matka: Joanna Polowczyk; Ojciec: Grzegorz Pańtak
