Summer 1945, Sowie Mountains. A provisional orphanage is created for eight children from the Gross-Rosen concentration camp in a nearby, abandoned palace, among the forests.
It seems that after the horrors of the camp feral children will come back to life in a new, unusual place. The idyll, however, is interrupted with the return of a nightmare. Hound dogs from the camp run around free in the surrounding forests, released by the SS before the liberation of Gross-Rosen. Animals trained to kill prisoner surround the heroes in an orphanage. Attempts to get out are failing. Without food and water, children are wild again. However, the real danger lurks inside the palace.
The film was awarded a special recognition price and for music at last year’s Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia and warmly received by Splat! FilmFest viewers.
