Music of Młynarski Plays Młynarski is a fresh look of Jan Młynarski on the part of his father’s, Wojciech Młynarski’s, output. It is also a meeting of an outstanding artist, composer and vocalist of the young generation – Gaba Kulkia with poetry in the legendary songs. Młynarski Plays Młynarski is music from the borderline of jazz, blues and broadly understood alternative music.
When the album “Rebecca does not come down tonight for supper” was released in October 2010, the band toured and won great reception across Poland, featured at the Polityka 2010 Passports gala and received two nominations for Fryderyk award on the way, also receiving flattering reviews in the music press.
Wojciech Młynarski loved multi-colour in music, art and life. This is also the band’s programme. Outstanding interpretations by Gaba Kulka are a journey through musical styles and moods. There is some jazz, dancing, new wave and folk. The band emphasizes an extremely strong relationship between the text and music – a relationship so unique in the work of Wojciech Młynarski and the composers collaborating with him: Wojciech Korcz, Janusz Sen, Jerzy Wasowski, Jerzy Derfla.
