The group was a huge success in both Israeli and international clubs, including the stages of the most important music festivals in the world. The most important performances of the band included concerts for the legendary Israeli band Minimal Compact, as well as for Emir Kusturica and his The No Smoking Orchestra. They also played during the WOMEX (World Music Expo) exhibition in 2006, which started their world concert career. The debut album Boom Pam was recorded in Frankfurt for the German label Essay Recordings, co-produced by DJ Shantel. In the spring of 2006, the album quickly reached the top ten of the European world music charts. Their second album “Puerto Rican Nights” was also released by Essay Recordings in 2008. After returning to Israel, the band continued to engage in numerous artistic collaborations, including the Batsheva Dance Company, releasing several Israeli singles, recording film music and merging forces with the New York-based Balkan Beat Box. They played with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra in an unusual concert. They debuted in North America at globalFEST in New York in 2007, then toured the United States and Canada, opening the concert ahead of the legendary VENTURES in California and playing at the Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival. In 2010, their third album was released, this time in Tel Aviv. rIt was released by Audio Montage and followed by the premiere performance of SXSW and three European tours. In 2014, the band collaborated with the iconic Turkish singer SELDA and visited Istanbul during a series of rehearsals. They also played an extended tour in Japan with great success. Boom Pam play exuberant music together, travel extensively around the world (Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico, South Africa and Japan) and continue their magic with a unique blend of casual, psychedelic surf rock and Mediterranean sounds.

At our Festival, the musicians of the BOOM PAM band will be performing with the well-known Israeli singer Ravid Kahalani.
Ravid Kahalani – founder of Yemen Blues / composer / songwriter / leader and singer. Over the past few years, Ravid has become an important star in the Israeli music scene and an exceptional performer and musician on the contemporary music scene around the world. His passion for African-American soul and blues, roots music and traditional religious songs can be heard in his compositions. Ravid’s versatile vocal talent draws heavily from the music of the Sahara and North Africa. In 2010, Ravid created the music project “Yemen Blues” based on his composition, then together with Omer Avital they founded the group Yemeni Blues, which has become an important project all over the world and gained many excellent reviews. After more than 500 shows since Yemen Blues was founded, Ravid is now working on his solo project and continues performing with Yemen Blues.
