Brama Talks: A Bittersweet Discovery and The Voice of the Silence Project – webinar
Alejandra Del Rio Schtulmann and Samantha Rodriguez, a mother and daughter from Mexico who are Evangelical Christians, will share their discovery of their Jewish roots. They will introduce us to Moszko Sztulman, Alejandra’s grandfather (and Samantha’s great-grandfather), and his family from Międzyrzec Podlaski, in the Lublin region.
Theirs is a story full of fascinating and tragic discoveries about the lives of their previously unknown ancestors before, during and after the Holocaust.
After going to Poland and attending the Lubliner Reunion in 2017, twenty year-old Samantha Rodríguez decided to be the voice of Sztulman family and in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, she founded the project “The Voice of the Silence,” a virtual project of interviews with survivors and their descendants through which she promotes Holocaust awareness for young people in English and Spanish.
