Academy Award winners Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and director Mike Nichols teamed up to tell the story of the cheerful American congressman who changed the course of history.
Charlie Wilson was a congressman from Texas who, above all, liked to have fun. Under the mask of an eternal boy, however, he was able to perfectly hide his political mind, a sense of patriotism and compassion for the losers. He uses his hidden face to initiate a conspiracy with a lawyer and a CIA agent that will lead to the largest covert war operation in history. A true story.
