The Lubliner Festival perfectly reflects the nature of Polish and Jewish feasts and entertainment. The idea is close to one of the most important assumptions of Hasidism – “dancing, singing, joy, and serenity bring us closer to all the most important values”. And what could be more joyful than dancing on a starry summer night?
That is why a dance with Balkan-Jewish rhythms is a must for all lovers of dance, or just good music. Take comfortable shoes and a lot of humour, because we will have fun until dawn with PropaBanda East Collective – a band playing energetic Balkan and klezmer folk music in an innovative version. The band invites on a journey through melodies from Moldova, Serbia, Greece, Macedonia, Croatia and, of course, Israel. The semi-finalists of the Must Be The Music programme have already played several hundred concerts. The musicians’ craftsmanship is proved by the fact that PropaBanda appeared on the compilation “Balkan & Jewish inspirations”, alongside such stars of this genre as Shantell, Taraf de Haidouks and Goran Bregović.
