“Świętokrzyskie Impressions” is an original project inspired by the folklore of the Świętokrzyskie region.
Musical themes are just as beautiful as they are unknown. They have become a source of sounds that can delight, amuse and move. Above all, however, the project inspired by the folklore is an interesting, innovative way, to bring the native, indigenous, spicy note closer to the contemporary listener. The program consists of carefully selected and elaborated folk melodies and original compositions.
Łukasz Mazur – pianist, composer; he collaborated with: Piotr Kuba Kubowicz, Józef Skrzek, Marek Piekarczyk, Antymos Apostolis, Włodzimierz Kiniorski, Oktoich choir, Robert Pożarski, Stoltzer Ensemble, Michał Lorenc, DesOrient, Małgorzata Marczak, Dominik Skrzyniarz, Małgorzata Nakonieczna, Anna Madej, Małgorzata Wojciechowska; Theater them. Stefan Żeromski in Kielce, the Ludowy Theater in Nowa Huta, the Puppet and Actor Theater KUBUŚ.
Michael Jones – multi-instrumentalist, originally from England and currently living in Poland. A valued session musician, he has collaborated with Fiolka Najdenowicz, Leszek Biolik, Wojtek Seweryn, Paprika Korps and Magda Femme. He has performed with Nigel Kennedy, Marek Stryszowski, Kinior, Justyna Łysak, Beata Czernecka, Ula Makosz, T Love, Sidney Polak, Wassail, Okularsy Antidepresjon, OQLarsen and Max Klezmer Band.
Max Kowalski – double bass player, composer, arranger, graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow. He is the author of music for performances for many theaters all over Poland, e.g. Witkacy Theatre, Polish Theater in Wrocław, InVitro Stage in Lublin, Polish Theater in Bielsko-Biała. He collaborates with many musicians from Krakow scenes. Leader and founder of the Max Klezmer Band.
Kuba Mazur – he started his adventure with drums at the age of 4; on the account of musical experience: participation in Piotr Kuba Kubowicz’s projects “Akwarelki Świętokrzyskie”, “MOCy’s song and poem to help”, “Sing to us, Holy Cross soul”, “Echoes were calling in the forest mountains…”; cooperation with bands: “Wolni Lud”, gospel choir GOOD NEWs, Alicja Białek Band, MGM Trio, No Name 3Yo, Małgorzata Wojciechowska, Shapeles, To ON.
