Jiří Havelka's film, which was awarded three Czech Lions and based on his popular theater play, takes place during a meeting of the co-owners of a tenement house in Praga.
Chairperson Zahrádková leads the meeting and wants to put her plan into action. The woman speaks of her desire to save a building that needs urgent renovation. The problem is that not everyone shares her opinion. And at a common table, the elderly, the younger, idealists, free marketers, old tenants and people who are just moving into a tenement house meet. In short, a complete cross-section of Czech society. Mutual grievances, prejudices and stereotypes quickly take over, replacing a calm, substantive discussion. Especially since everyone is convinced of their point and not too eager to compromise.
