Alexander Kazello, a Lublin resident, a leading actor of the Free Kupala movement and the group’s poster designer, is known to Lublin audiences primarily for his stage work. In this field, he is considered a cult figure in the local theater community. However, his visual work remains much less well-known. As part of the festival, we want to present his collages for the first time in Lublin – visually surprising works that provide a brilliant commentary on everyday reality, the post-Soviet legacy, and the situation of the LGBT community in Eastern Europe.
