Helene Glüxam is a double bassist and composer from Vienna who works at the intersection of jazz, contemporary music, avant-pop, and free improvisation.
She is a member of the groups Kurdophone, HALM, and Lizard, developing her own distinctive musical language based on sonic experimentation and stylistic openness. In her solo project, she combines double bass and voice to create intimate, multi-layered soundscapes. She has performed at venues including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Wien. Winner of the 2025 Austrian Jazz Prize in the “Best Newcomer” category and a participant in the 2025/26 NASOM program.
