Teenage Finn (Roman Griffin Davis, known for “Jojo Rabbit”) and his younger brother Charlie run away from home to avoid separation after their parents’ separation. Their destination is the wild west coast of Ireland and the home of their beloved grandfather John (Bill Nighy, “Love Actually”)—the last safe haven in their crumbling world.

A challenging 500-mile journey lies ahead of them, during which they must rely on their wits, charm, and the kindness of the people they meet—especially the free-spirited street musician Cáit.

“500 Miles” is more than just a road movie, though. It’s a sincere, unflinching, and deeply reflective story about family, hope, and the need for closeness. The ending takes on a new meaning, leaving you reeling from the opening scenes after viewing.

On September 6th, the film will be screened as part of the “Your Ticket to 500 Miles of Hope” charity event.

This unique initiative is being organized to celebrate the premiere of “500 Miles” in collaboration with the Elephants on the Balcony Foundation, which has been supporting children and young people struggling with depression, trauma, and mental health crises for years.

On that day, all proceeds from ticket sales for all screenings of the film will be donated to the Foundation’s statutory goals.
