Avant Art Festival

The Lublin edition of the Avant Art Festival will take place from September 21th to 25th. The programme is more compact compared to the editions in Wrocław or Warsaw but equally diverse—ranging from the history of the independent scene and artistic counterculture to projects where the body, the instrument, and the space become equal elements of sound-based work.

Three extraordinary documentaries exploring the history of alternative music will be screened at the Cinema. The following day will bring a meeting of Hatti Vatti’s electronic and dub soundscapes with the trance-like psychedelia of ARRM, and the sonic practice of Simon Grab. It is music rooted in noise, feedback, and deep, pulsating bass frequencies.
