This year’s edition of the Presentation of Music and Theatre Forms “Sounds of Words” will take place between June 9 and 12, with the motto “No to War”.
The festival is a colourful kaleidoscope of musical and lyrical emotions expresed through music, theatre, words and meetings with people. In the time of war, which is happening so close to us, we want the sounds of the words and musical chords to bring hope for the victory of love and peace.
The “Sounds of Words” festival is also, as always, a meeting with extraordinary musicians and singers. Emose Katarzyna Uhunmwangho will introduce the audience to the world of fairy tales and the sound of the trumpet. An electronic-industrial reinterpretation of “Legenda”, the cult post-punk album of the band Armia, will be presented by Michał Jacaszek together with the leader of Armia: Tomasz Budzyński, Kuba Świątek and Jerzy Mazzol. Each of the four singers: Beata Rybotycka, Natalia Sikora, Marta Mazurek and Marek Dyjak will undoubtedly cast a spell with their extraordinary voices. At the end of the Festival, father and daughter, saxophonist Henryk Miśkiewicz and jazz vocalist Dorota Miśkiewicz will perform together in their first joint project.
