The exhibition is planned as a retrospective. The artist’s work is very ambiguous, sensual and moving also in the emotional dimension.
The artist will present works from various areas of her art. These will be paintings on canvas, watercolours, drawings, collages and objects. Works from the earliest period touch on the subject of corporeality, sexuality and femininity. Also featured are works in which the main motif is an animal, a hybrid and nature. The latest works are abstract paintings.
Basia Bańda (born 1980) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. Since 2008 he has been working at the Institute of Visual Arts, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Zielona Góra in Zielona Góra. In the Biała Gallery, she has so far participated in group exhibitions Painters (2015) and Wieża Bab2 (2021).
