The speaker at the upcoming event in the “Voices of the World” series will be Buddhist teacher Makis Achladiotis. He will deliver a lecture titled “Buddhism in the West.”
The meeting is open to both those advanced in Buddhist teachings and beginners. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding Buddhist culture and Western-style Buddhist practice.
The lecture will be delivered in English with Polish translation.
The lecture is part of the “Voices of the World” series — a series dedicated to intercultural dialogue. Together, we explore the perspective of the Other to better understand the world and learn how others see us.
Makis Achladiotis was born in Greece in 1960. He took refuge with the 16th Karmapa in 1980 and has been teaching since 2014 at the request of Lama Ole. Professionally, he works in music and dubbing studios. He is married and has three children.
