Karolina Cicha and Sw@da created this concert using many languages: the language of nature and the speech of multicultural Podlasie, the language of emotions, tradition, and contemporary jargon of electronics and sampled sounds.
The result of the meeting of the leading Polish folk artist and music producer will be a purifying concert. Spółka, on the other hand, will bring ethnic and spicy energy to the concert.
Karolina Cicha – is a composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, winner of the GRAND PRIX and the Audience Award at the Polish Radio Folk Festival "Nowa Tradycja". In 2015, she was included in the official selection at the World Music Expo WOMEX – the largest festival of traditional music in the world. With her music, she visited dozens of festivals in Europe, Asia and America.
Sw@da – Composer and music producer combining the rich, multicultural tradition of Podlasie (Polish, Belarusian, Tatar, Lithuanian and Jewish) with elements of contemporary, ambitious electronic and bass music. Winner of the "New Tradition Festival" competition of the Polish Radio. Repeatedly awarded by national and local radio stations, he has been presenting his music at festivals in Poland and abroad for years.
Spółka is a team of musicians specializing in playing various ethnic instruments. The arrangements of the band oscillate on the hiss of tradition and modernity. The band Cicha & Spółka appeared in 2013, winning the Grand Prix of the Nowa Tradycja festival. The current direction of the band's search is ethnic groove, rhythm, energy and melody, which allows you to preserve the truth of emotions and metaphysics. In its current form, the Company sometimes plays simultaneously, sometimes separately: Patrycja Betley (ethnic
percussion instruments), Karolina Matuszkiewicz (ethnic string instruments) and Mateusz Szemraj (ethnic stringed instruments). Guest appearances include: Olena Yeremenko (violin, nykelharpa) and Marcin Rumiński (ethnic stringed instruments, throat singing).
