It’s a scorching summer in Warsaw. Bethany (Charli XCX) arrives in Poland for a romantic getaway with her boyfriend. When she meets Nel (Lena Góra), a friend from years ago, an unspoken chemistry erupts between them. A longing for a carefree life leads them through the streets of a sun-drenched city – as far away as possible from a place where they will have to make decisions that will shape the rest of their adult lives.

Director Pete Ohs portrays Warsaw as a city of creative energy and freedom. Bethany is played by international star Charli XCX, who brings her distinctive sensitivity and on-screen charisma to the film. She is partnered with Lena Góra – one of the most important actresses of the younger generation, the co-creator of the project, and the emotional heart of “Eruption.”
