Dance jams create an opportunity for free expression and creative exchange, regardless of experience or age. Each person is their own choreographer – they improvise and compose their dance in real time, under the influence of impulses flowing from within and without. Intuitively, without the need to use dance technique, one searches for his own authentic movement, harmonizing individual expression and the pleasure of creating "here and now" with attention to others and responsiveness.

The meeting will be led by artists – dancers of the Polish Dance Theatre: Evelyn Blue and Zofia Tomczyk. The class will start with a short introduction and warm-up, proceeded by open a space for joint improvisation. Comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement
is recommended.

The music will be improvised by Zofia – an interdisciplinary artist associated with experimental music, contemporary dance. She iss part of Ciche Nagrania, a record label from Poznań dealing with slow, calm music. Together with Józef Buchnajzer and Aga Nowacka, they play silent concerts, create audio-visual installations and compose sounds for theater performances. Her music can also be found in the project "Agalma III" released on the Agalma music label in Reykjavik, Iceland.
