One of the most interesting bands on the contemporary Austrian jazz scene. Coming from the classical sphere, they develop many interesting combinations with other styles.
The compositions are perfectly balanced components of improvisation and thoughtful arrangements. The band’s music takes the listener on a journey far from the shores of traditional jazz, so that it can unfold its full brilliance without conventional restraints. The main goal of Purple is the Color is to move the listener, release deep-seated feelings and evoke emotions. Their concert is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with Austrian contemporary jazz of the highest quality. The event is organized in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum.
