A cinematic summary of five years of work with the community of former Ursus factory employees.
The project is based on former employees reenacting their jobs and recalling the memorised movements, actions, and sounds of their daily work, which are then incorporated into the film.
During workshops with a choreographer and a composer, individual “work tracks” are created and later assembled into a symphony of images, movements, and sounds.
The film becomes a tale of bygone industrial labour, told in a unique way through the memory of the body and the collective recollections of the factory workforce. It creates an evocative image with a distinctive emotional resonance, inviting reflection on contemporary transformations in the world of labour. The film is based on the employees’ biographies and their personal “work memories,” reconstructed through movement, choreography, and music, and through a renewed encounter with the former factory space.
