Conference “Investments in Creative Districts” is part of the Lublin Creative District Incubator – an initiative that creates a space for knowledge exchange, the presentation of best practices, and collaboration for the development of creative districts and their cultural and social infrastructure.
The event will take place between June 18-20, 2026, in Lublin’s Tytonie Creative District. A three-day event for people working at the intersection of culture, business, and the public sector. People who not only have creative ideas but also develop and implement them.
Panels planned for this year’s conference will focus on:
– investing in creative districts, financing models (including public funding), and trends shaping the development of creative industries in cities,
– presentations of domestic and international good practices, especially projects combining business goals with social and cultural values,
– discussions on cultural and social potential with representatives of NGOs, cultural institutions, and creative communities.

– Wojciech Kolęda, Stare Mury Project, Warsaw;
– Gaya Barcikowska and Stan Barański, Skład Solny, Kraków;
– Hanns-Dietrich Schmidt, Düsseldorf, Germany;
– Vassilis Charalampidis, Athens, Greece;
– Raine Haikkinen, Helsinki, Finland;
– Gosia Rygalik, Design Nature, Sobole.
A key role of the conference is extensive networking which helps fostering partnerships between businesses, creatives, and local governments. The event will be accompanied by artistic activities – an exhibition, a music project, and a continuation of the mural documenting the creative district concept. The entire conference will also be available online, and the recordings will serve as educational materials and a tool to support investment planning.
